Learning & Development Consultant

Site location: Kochi

This person is responsible for implementing the learning and development strategy for our Xerox Kochi location. He or she will be the single point of contact for all employee development, leadership and management development as well as other business-specific learning events. Will conduct needs analysis in consultation with the business leaders located in Kochi. Will design or re-design courses according to the result of the training needs analysis. He or she will be responsible for the evaluation of all training courses conducted at the site and will be responsible for identifying the resources and skills needed to be a successful L&D department in the local site and execute the corresponding solutions at the local level.



The ideal candidate is an accomplished training specialist or consultant with experience in large multi-national and business process outsourcing environment. The candidate must have an experience as business or training consultant serving big or multinational companies. Must be a confident public speaker with excellent written and oral English

presentation and writing skills and able to explain, simplify and present complex and sometimes technical functions across all levels of the organization. He or she must have a good understanding and working knowledge of marketing and branding. The candidate should have at minimum a Bachelor degree in a well-known educational institution in

India while a Master degree is a plus. Experience in the BPO environment is a plus. One of the expectations is that he or she should provide the L&D Manager weekly reports about the activities of the LD Site Lead/Consultant and his/her department. He/she should attend a regular meeting with the LD Manager and make sure that tasks and milestones are achieved on time and meet Xeroxs ( located at Kochi) requirements and needs.

Comfortable and experienced operating in an outcome oriented environment.



Responsibilities:
Implement and execute the training develop strategy of LD India at the local level.
Re-design or develop training materials including trainer guides, Training video or audio,
participant materials and evaluation systems.
Facilitate the planning and delivery of programs and strategies jointly with local
stakeholders.
Deliver training courses to all employees of Kochi- employee development, management and leadership courses and business skills when needed.



Candidate Qualifications:


Must have at least 5-7 years experience in designing and creating corporate training programs preferably in the business process outsourcing industry or in multi-national companies.

Must have at least 5-7 years experience in conducting leadership and management courses

Track record of creating corporate training programs and materials using PowerPoint, MS

Word and Excel formats. Must be comfortable in sending communiques using MS Outlook is a must. Ability to create ads and marketing brief via Outlook email.

Demonstrated experience in needs analysis and curriculum development

Must have an excellent understanding of ERP, Human Resources while an experience in

Project Management Principles is a plus

Experience in business process outsourcing is a requirement and a good knowledge of

Information technology and social media is required

Able to translate, articulate, simplify and communicate complex business and technical

functions to audiences with different level of expertise.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high paced work environment and able to thrive in an

environment with regularly changing priorities.

Is a learner and has the ability to adapt and acquire new skills quickly

Must have excellent written and oral English communication skills including ability to plan

and deliver effective presentations.

Has experience of tech savvy enough to create classes in our Learning Management

System (LMS).

Can work mid-shift (3pm midnight) and from time to time can be flexible to work on

graveyard shift when necessary.

Good moral character and respected in the industry


Education:

Bachelor degree in Education, Business, Engineering, Management, Communication or
equivalent is a must
Master Degree in training, MBA or any related subject is a plus
